
EDB Chief visits Plum Qingqi, hails EV progress
Engr. Khuda Bukhsh, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Engineering Development Board (EDB), visited Plum Qingqi Motors in Lahore on April 26, 2025. Nigfing Lie, Managing Director of Plum Qingqi Motors Ltd., warmly welcomed the CEO, along with key team members Shahid Niazi and Shah Alam Khan.
During his visit, Engr. Khuda Bukhsh toured the assembly plant and took a closer look at the company’s groundbreaking work in the electric vehicle sector, particularly Qingqi Electric Motorcycles. The CEO was briefed on the latest developments and upcoming variants of Qingqi Electric Scooters, a pioneer in Pakistan’s electric scooter market.
Plum Qingqi Motors, which first introduced electric scooters in Pakistan back in 2014, has been at the forefront of promoting green energy solutions in the country. At the time, the company made a remarkable impact by selling over 300 electric scooters, marking a significant milestone for clean and sustainable transportation in Pakistan.
Engr. Khuda Bukhsh commended Plum Qingqi Motors for its continued dedication to the electric vehicle industry, highlighting the importance of green energy solutions in reducing the country’s carbon footprint.
