40,000 Electric Bikes 1,000 Rickshaws: Govt unveils PAVE Scheme — Applications Open from Sept 1

The Ministry of Industries & Production has officially unveiled the Pakistan Accelerated Vehicle Electrification (PAVE) Program, a transformative step toward sustainable and inclusive transportation in Pakistan.

Under this ambitious initiative, the government will provide 40,000 electric motorcycles and scooters and 1,000 electric rickshaws and cargo loaders at significantly subsidized rates to eligible Pakistani citizens. The goal is to promote clean mobility while making electric vehicles accessible and affordable for the masses.

Applications will be accepted online from September 1 to September 30, 2025, through the official website: pave.gov.pk. The names of successful applicants will be announced on October 1, 2025, through a computerized e-balloting system.

Key Features of the PAVE Scheme:

• Nationwide Distribution: Available to citizens in all provinces, including AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan

• Attractive Subsidies:

o 🛵 PKR 80,000 subsidy on each e-bike or scooter

o 🛺 PKR 400,000 subsidy on electric rickshaws and cargo loaders

• 0% Interest Financing: Remaining amount payable in monthly installments with no interest

• Open to All: Pakistani nationals aged 18 to 65 years are eligible

• Women Empowerment: 25% quota reserved for female applicants, promoting gender equity in mobility
