MMPL to produce Lithium & Graphene Batteries locally
Memon Motors Pvt Ltd. (MMPL) has taken a significant step into the electric vehicle market by opening its first company outlet dedicated to Super Star electric scooters and high-displacement engine motorcycles. This new outlet, the 9th electric vehicle store in the region, is strategically located on the main Shahrah-e-Faisal. The other eight stores, representing various brands, are also positioned along this key commercial route, offering easy access to customers looking for eco-friendly transportation alternatives.
Founded in 2000, MMPL has long been a leader in Pakistan’s motorcycle and auto-rickshaw industries. The company’s latest foray into electric scooters reflects its sustainability and green mobility commitment. In a recent interview with MOBILE WORLD Magazine, Managing Director Usman Saleem shared plans for 2025, including producing lithium and graphene batteries at MMPL’s new facility in Multan. This move will help reduce Pakistan’s reliance on imported batteries and promote local production of electric vehicle components.
At the opening ceremony, dealers, Karachi Motorcycle Dealers Association members, and media representatives gathered to witness the occasion. The company’s Chairman, Saleem Umar, also revealed plans to launch electric auto rickshaws and cargo loaders later this year, reinforcing MMPL’s vision for a cleaner and more sustainable future for Pakistan's transportation sector.
MMPL’s new outlet and upcoming projects mark a significant milestone in the country’s shift toward greener mobility, positioning the company as a key player in the electric vehicle revolution.
