In order to develop the automobiles sector in balance with socio-economic needs and recent developments in the field at the National and International levels, Pakistan Standards & Quality Control Authority has notified the re-constituted National Standards Committee on Automobiles (NSC-Auto)since November 2020 in accordance with the Pakistan Standards Rules 2008. Keeping in view the importance of the subject matter, the NSC-Auto has been considering the re-constitution of Technical Committees (TCs). After considerable deliberations in multiple meetings the current NSC-Auto in its meeting on May 25, 2021, decided the matter of notification of members as well as chairperson for Technical Committee on Three-Wheeler Auto Vehicles (TC-03); as per details to follow (with further inclusion with the permission of Chairperson (TC-03).
The Technical Committee (TC) would review the existing Pakistan Standards that fall in its scope of work and at the same time; keeping in view the national needs; study the published standards and other researches of leading foreign and international organizations working in relevant fields to recommend, withdrawal of or revisions in existing Pakistan Standards; adoption of foreign/international standards as Pakistan Standards; or develop and propose new Pakistan Standards based upon such documents. The Chairperson of TC would be bound to report the progress of TC to NSC-Auto on a fortnightly basis.
