Aggrieved client claims damages from Lucky Motor Corporation

One infuriated client of Kia Motors has claimed damages from Lucky Motor Corp against non-delivery of Picanto car he booked in February and full payment made. The aggrieved client being a member of FPCCI also wrote a letter to its President Mian Nasser Hyatt Maggo to intervene in this matter.

According to details a customer booked Kia Picanto car with Lucky Motors Corporation Ltd’s dealer Kia Motors Clifton, Karachi in February 2021. His delivery date was fixed for May 2021. However, at the end of April, the client was called from Kia Motors Clifton to deposit the balance payment and take delivery in May 2021.

At the end of May 2021 the client inquired when to take delivery of the vehicle for which he had already paid full amount of Rs 2.069 million as demanded by the dealer. The Dealer replied that the vehicle was ready but some part is missing and soon after getting the said part they will deliver car by around 25th June, 2021.

Few days later Kia Motors Clifton again called the client to visit their office. They disclosed that his vehicle is being further delayed. Then after three more days the client received a letter from dealer that the booked vehicle will be delivered in August 2021.

The client was astonished to know and asked why they had collected the full payment in advance and failed to deliver vehicle in the end of May 2021. Even after that they were delaying the delivery on one pretext or the other, he added.

The client asked to provide the list of cars of his booked model delivered by dealer from May 1, 2021 to 31st May 2021 but they had unsatisfactory explanations. He asked Kia Motors Clifton as well as Lucky Motor Corp to pay damages of the cost he was incurring on rent a car for the delayed period.
