Customs Valuation Director holds meeting for Tyres & Tubes on Oct; 14

The Customs Deputy Director (Group-III) has called a meeting of stakeholders on 14th October 2020 for determination of customs values of Tyres & Tubes-III (Agricultural, Industrial & Earth Movers) (Existing VR# 1320/2018) PCT 4011.7000, under Section 25A of the Customs Act, 1969. The meeting will be held in office of Director (Customs Valuation) on 7th Floor, Custom House Karachi.

According to notice each participant is required to bring Invoices of imports during last three months showing factual value. Websites, names and E-mail addresses of known foreign manufacturers of the item in question through which the actual current value can be ascertained.

It has also demanded the Copies of Contracts made and LCs opened during last three months showing the value of items in question. Copies of Sales Tax Invoices issued during last four months showing the values of supplies (excluding duty and taxes) to substantiate their contention. And other relevant documents like test report, representative samples and proposed working in support of their contention so that the meeting is purposeful and the issue is decided quickly.

The participation was requested so that their esteemed point of view is considered and a fair customs value is determined. Trade bodies, representative associations and Chambers of Commerce were further requested to circulate this Notice amongst their respective honorable members and invite them on Customs behalf to attend the meeting for maximum stakeholders’ participation.
